Flogger Links

ALL ABOUT:
* Grim's Guide - good survey of information, a must read.
* Heartwood, a passion for whips - great info in a relaxed, conversational style.

HOW TO MAKE:
* Sartan's Working With Leather - the best all around site on making leather gear. The instructions on making a flogger are simple and easy to follow. Sartan also has great site for making bondage furniture called the BDSM Workshop. He has recently added another excellant section on braiding.

* Marcus' Munch Flogger - another view (with photos) of the roll up approach. Marcus has other projects for making bondage furniture.

* Pervy Tool Time - has many projects for the aspiring maker. Mr. Schitt Head takes a different approach in a couple of articles on making floggers. One flogger project uses tacks to secure the tails and includes instruction on a basket weave braid and decorative collars for the handle. Both the braid and the collar will work on any type of flogger. The other floggers secure the tails in a hollow handle.

LEATHER SOURCES:
One of the best sources for leather is your local crafter. They can often cut you a piece to specification or include your order in with their next one. Almost always cheaper than Tandy or a craft store. Having a piece cut will not be as cheap as buying a whole side or skin from the suppliers below because of the wastage involved in cutting a premium piece for a flogger. A full third of a cow side and almost half of a game animal like elk is not usable for a good flogger.
Tip: when ordering from any supplier always specify "dyestruck" or dyed through. This insures that when you cut the tails they won't have those white edges.
* Siegal of California - check the Friday and stock lots specials.
* Hide House - check the stock lot specials.
* Moscow Hide and Fur - elk, deer and moose available in whole skins, sides and pieces.

BUY/SELL:
*Fetish Auctioneer - ebay alternative for all your kinky needs. Also has lists of retail and custom makers, articles and more.
